EVAPCO Pass-Protect® is a complete solution for accelerated passivation of galvanized coils in evaporative condensers and closed-circuit coolers. It is particularly suited to new equipment that must be placed under immediate heat load, where natural formation of a protective oxide layer may be difficult.

The process combines factory-applied Passiv-Assist® pretreatment with site-specific field passivation based on makeup-water quality. Factory pretreatment reduces the risk of white rust, while the field program uses inhibitor chemistry, feed equipment and controls to establish a durable passive layer. The typical field stage lasts approximately four to eight weeks.
